Question 1

What’s a realistic wait for a West Haverstraw doorstep?

Accepted Answer

Most orders land 20–35 minutes after confirmation. The route is fixed — Route 45 north, US-202 east through Garnerville, then 9W — so the variables are simply where you sit and when you order. Addresses near the 202/9W junction and Samsondale usually see the driver first; homes down by the marina or Beach Road run a few minutes longer. Weekday rush on 9W and hospital shift changes around Helen Hayes add a little drag in the late afternoon. One deadline to remember: same-day orders must be in at least 30 minutes before closing, since state rules require prepaid orders to be dispatched with time to spare.

Question 2

Where is the nearest dispensary to West Haverstraw?

Accepted Answer

West Haverstraw does not allow dispensaries, so there is none in town. Our nearest store is Cannabis Realm of NY at 76 Route 59 in Spring Valley. You can shop in store, order pickup, or get same-day delivery to West Haverstraw.

Question 3

What are my options if I’d rather not wait at home?

Accepted Answer

Two good ones, both at our Spring Valley store at 76 NY-59. In-store pickup lets you browse the counter and put questions to a budtender face to face — useful if you’re comparing carts or new to edibles. Curbside keeps you in the car: order ahead, park in our lot, and the bag comes out to your window. Note the payment difference — curbside is prepaid digitally through AeroPay or CanPay exactly like delivery, while the counter inside also takes cash and debit. Plenty of West Haverstraw customers grab orders on the way back from errands down 45 or the Parkway. Bring 21+ ID either way.

Question 4

Are Samsondale and the 9W side of West Haverstraw covered?

Accepted Answer

Fully — the zone takes in all of 10993: Samsondale, the Route 9W commercial stretch, Railroad Avenue, the blocks around Helen Hayes Hospital, and the waterfront streets by the marina and Haverstraw Bay County Park. Garnerville addresses that technically sit inside village limits are on the same loop, as are edges shading toward Stony Point or the village of Haverstraw. New York law sets the one real constraint: hand-offs happen at private residences only, so use your home address rather than a workplace or the marina office. Type the address at checkout and the zone check answers instantly, before any payment happens.

Question 5

I live near Helen Hayes Hospital — will the driver find me?

Accepted Answer

Easily — the residential streets around Helen Hayes Hospital, just off Route 9W, are a routine part of the West Haverstraw loop, and drivers know the area well. The only limitation is the state’s private-residence rule: we can deliver to your home near the hospital, but not to the hospital itself, a rehab room or any workplace or public spot. If you’re a visitor or staff member, the practical play is timing the order for when you’re back home — the driver’s heads-up text gives you a few minutes’ warning. At the door it’s quick: show your 21+ government ID, take the sealed bag, done.

Question 6

Can I hand the driver cash in West Haverstraw?

Accepted Answer

No — and that’s state law, not store policy. New York requires delivery orders to be paid in full before the vehicle leaves the dispensary, so every delivery is prepaid digitally through AeroPay or CanPay at checkout, and drivers carry no cash and no card reader. Curbside pickup works the same prepaid way. If cash matters to you, use in-store pickup: the Spring Valley counter accepts cash, debit, AeroPay or CanPay. The upside of prepayment is a fast, low-key doorstep stop — just an ID check confirming you’re 21+ and the name matches, then the hand-off takes seconds.

Question 7

Is there a cart size that unlocks free delivery to West Haverstraw?

Accepted Answer

Yes — $50 is the line. At or above it, the trip up 202 and 9W is free; below it, your order still goes out, with a small delivery fee shown plainly at checkout before you pay. There’s no minimum that blocks an order outright. Bundling is the easy way over the line — a couple of eighths, a disposable vape or a beverage four-pack usually clears it — and the cart meter tracks your progress in real time. Since prepayment through AeroPay or CanPay settles everything up front, the total you see at checkout is exactly what you’re charged.

Question 8

Does New York law allow deliveries to West Haverstraw addresses?

Accepted Answer

Yes — adult-use delivery anywhere in the village is legal when it comes from a licensed dispensary, and Cannabis Realm NY is licensed by the New York Office of Cannabis Management. Your side of the bargain has three parts: be 21 or older, show valid government-issued ID at the door, and receive the order at a private residence — house, apartment or condo, not a park, marina or business. Every product is lab-tested and tracked through the state’s seed-to-sale system, so what arrives is verified and sealed. One more rule worth knowing: keep products unopened in the car, since open containers in vehicles remain illegal in New York.

Question 9

What fees should West Haverstraw expect at checkout?

Accepted Answer

One at most — a small delivery fee that applies only when the cart sits under $50, and it’s displayed before you approve payment, never after. Clear the threshold and delivery is free to any village address, Samsondale to the bay. Product prices are identical to the Spring Valley shelf, so there’s no delivery markup hiding in the menu. Because state rules require digital prepayment, the checkout total is locked — the driver can’t add charges and doesn’t handle money at all. If the meter says you’re close to free delivery, one more pre-roll usually costs less than the fee it erases.

Question 10

Do edibles and drinks travel to West Haverstraw too?

Accepted Answer

They do — gummies, chocolates, infused beverages and the rest of the edibles shelf ride alongside flower, pre-rolls, vape cartridges, disposables, tinctures, concentrates and topicals. The whole licensed menu is delivery-eligible, pulled live from Spring Valley inventory, so anything showing in stock at checkout is reserved for you the moment payment clears. Every item arrives sealed in child-resistant packaging with batch-traceable lab results, per Office of Cannabis Management rules. Summer tip for the bay side: infused drinks travel fine in the short 202-to-9W run, but plan to chill them yourself — drivers deliver sealed products as-is. Add a note at checkout if your building needs a buzzer code.
